I never planned on being a mother, but when Tayler entered my life, I had one thought:

I wrote this story one day while taking my beautiful, new daughter for a walk. It is a story of adoption, choosing, and change.

More than anything, it is a story that proves that love is what makes a family.

As I read it to Tayler, I hope she knows over and over again that she is mine and I am hers.
