From 1971 to 1972 the Tranter family were living in India as part of a group of Canadians that were helping construct a nuclear power station in the Indian state of Rajasthan.
This book tells the story of their experiences and adventures in the form of the letters that were sent back regularly to relatives in Canada. Including several dozen letters as well as photographs, colour slides, postcards and other background material, it provides a unique glimpse into a time when few North Americans were living in or travelling around India.
